Questions and Answers
What is Neurogait Wellness?
Neurogait Wellness is a wellness app that helps you track movement quality over time using short,
guided check-ins. It measures hand steadiness, fine motor control, and walking coordination
(including walking while doing a simple mental task).
What do the tests measure?
Your check-in includes:
• Hand Steadiness (Right / Left): how stable your hand remains.
• Fine Motor Skills (Right / Left): how quickly and consistently you perform small finger
movements.
• Gait and Cognitive Skills: how smoothly you walk while also doing a simple mental task (like
counting or subtracting).
Why do you test both hands?
Testing both hands helps create a more complete picture, because performance can differ
between sides due to dominance, fatigue, prior injuries, or daily variability.
Why do you ask me to walk while counting or subtracting?
Doing a simple mental task while walking is a way to measure real-life coordination - how your
body and attention work together when you are moving and thinking at the same time.
What does the 0-100 score mean?
Each test gets a score from 0 to 100.
• 100 = excellent performance in that test today
• Lower scores can reflect instability, inconsistency, slowness, or interruptions in the movement
Scores are meant to be tracked over time - your trend is often more meaningful than a single
result.
What is the Results Report?
Your Results Report summarizes:
• Your scores for each test (right/left where relevant)
• Notes about test quality (for example, if the video was too dark or out of frame)
• Your combined Mobility Age Score
What is the Mobility Age Score?
Mobility Age is a simple way to translate your movement results into one easy number. It starts
from your biological age and then adds or subtracts based on how you performed across the
check-in tests.
Can my Mobility Age be lower than my biological age?
Yes. If your results are consistently strong, the app may calculate a Mobility Age that is younger
than your biological age.
How is Mobility Age calculated (in simple terms)?
The app combines signals from your check-in - steadiness, fine motor consistency, walking
smoothness, and coordination during the mental task - and produces a single score that can
nudge your Mobility Age up or down.
Why did my score change from last time?
Day-to-day variation is normal. Common reasons include sleep, stress, hydration, caffeine,
exercise fatigue, or differences in recording conditions (lighting, camera angle, shoes, or surface).
For best tracking, try to test under similar conditions each time.
How often should I retake the check-in?
Most people get the best signal by testing 1-2 times per week for regular tracking, or after a major
change (new routine, travel, injury recovery, or a high-stress period).
How can I get the most accurate results?
• Use good lighting
• Keep the target body part fully in frame
• Follow the on-screen pacing and duration
• Try to do tests at a similar time of day
• Use the same setup (same chair height, same walking distance, similar footwear)
Is this app a medical diagnosis or medical advice?
No. Neurogait Wellness is for wellness tracking and movement insights only. It is not designed to
diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If you are worried about symptoms or notice a
sudden change, consider talking with a qualified healthcare professional.
Neurogait Wellness - In-app Q&A
What if I feel dizzy, unsteady, or unsafe while walking?
Stop immediately. Your safety comes first. Use a clear, non-slip path, consider having someone
nearby, and only do the walking test if you feel stable and comfortable.
Do you store my videos? Is my data private?
Your privacy matters. The app uses your recordings to generate your results and show your
trends. Details such as whether processing happens on-device or in the cloud, how long data is
retained, and how to delete your data are described in the app's Privacy section.
Can I improve my scores?
Many people improve with consistent habits: regular walking and balance work, hand dexterity
practice (fine motor drills), and supporting recovery with sleep and hydration. Your Results Report
helps you see what is improving over time.
